A Simple Solution to Man's Problem
If you do not know Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, take a minute to read this page. It contains the simple, yet life-changing truths, that if personally applied, will change your life forever.
If you question whether or not you are saved. You think you are but somethings not right. the Bible tells us that we must "examine ourselves whether we be in the faith"(2 Cor. 13:5). In 1 John 1:5,6 the Bible tells us that light and darkness cannot occupy the same space. If you are living in consistent sin but are relying on a past profession of faith to get you to heaven, you are probably not saved but have given a false sense of security. Your life if you are saved should reflect a change by God and be consistently and continually waliking with Him.
If you have already accepted are in Christ then make sure that you can explain what it means to know Him to someone who doesn't, and are able to talk with them and help them see their sin
Man's Problem – Separation
God created man in His own image and gave him abundant life. God gave him a will and freedom of choice.
Man chose to disobey God (Sin - 1 John 3:4 Sin is transgression of the Law) and make his own willful way. Man still makes this choice today. This results in separation from God.
The Bible says in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Man tries to bridge his separation from God in many ways...
There is only one solution to man's problem...
God's Plan – Salvation
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." John 3:16
(Jesus said)..."I came that they might have life, and might have it abundantly." (Full and meaningful life). John 10:10
"He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." John 3:36
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me." John 14:6
When Jesus Christ died on the cross, He substituted for our sin and bridged the separation of man from God...
He Lives Today
"...Christ died for our sins...He was buried...He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures...He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. After that He appeared to more than five hundred...He appeared to James, then to all the apostles...He appeared to me also." 1 Corinthians 15:3-8
To Receive God's Plan
In Romans 10:9 and 13, the Bible tells us "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved…Whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved."
Cry out to God for forgiveness (this is a confessing) in repentance (turning away from) and forsake (leaving it) your sins and God will hear you and you shall be saved from the judgment of a holy God that demands perfection, which sinful man cannot obtain, however Jesus atoned (paid the price) for that sin and you are cleansed and made whole.
If you have done this, you now have eternal life!
When you cried out to the Lord, If He heard your cries and your sins have all been forgiven (Colossians 1:14), you became a child of God (John 1:12) and you now have eternal life (John 3:16).
Place your trust in your Heavenly Father "casting all your anxiety upon Him, because He cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7) Stay in daily contact with the Lord through prayer and the reading of His Word, the Bible. Join in fellowship with other believers so that you may strengthen one another.
What should I do now?
Attend a local Bible preaching and teaching Christian church that will help you grow in your Spiritual life with God. Tell your Pastor about your recent decision and get baptized. Get involved with a Bible study at your new Church and meet new Christian friends.
Read the Bible. You can start with the Gospel of John to learn more about Jesus Christ and the salvation you have received.
His Promise Fulfilled
"He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, in order that you may know that you have eternal life." 1 John 5:12-13
