My husband and I are planning to visit Bentonville, AR in May. We are searching for a place to worship. We like the old fashioned Gospel message and songs from a hymn book, not the rock music we have found at other churches in Bentonville. Could you share what kind of music you have? God bless you in advance is my prayer.

Dear Linda,
The short answer to your question is yes we sing hymns out of hymnal, we also put the words on the screen. Our special music is sometimes contemporary, but is never a rock concert. Most are done with an acoustic guitar and the piano. Now as to the preaching, we are emphatic about our bible preaching and teaching. We are currently in the middle of a verse-by-verse study through the Gospel of Matthew and have been for about a little over a year. On Wednesday night we are currently studying the 7 churches inthe book of Revelation. I hope I have answered your questions. We would love to have you and your husband for visit inmay. Please go through our website about what we belive and teach and our conconstitution and bylaws. If you have any other questions please contact us.

Do you use the King James Bible in your services? This is important to me.

Hello Christine, We do use the KJV in our services and church. We do it as a matter of consistancy. Most people have or are okay with using the KJV and learning together helps us all. In addition we also use it because it is derived from the "textus receptus" which we belive is the best Greek manuscript for the New Testament.

Reading through your web site it appears your Sunday school hour takes place in 'small groups' prior to the regular worship service. Would that be a correct assumption? Not necessarily in a specific age group? I think we may visit your church this Sunday, we're looking for a new church home. Thank you....

Doug in answer to your question, yes, our Sunday school is made up of family groups rather than an age segregated class. Our model is family integrated. We would enjoy having you and your family visit.

Is it considered cheating if you are texting a married woman without your wife knowing about it

Lucy Thanks for the question. So without knowing the specifics, I will try to answer the best I can. Of course the nature and context of the text in question is relevant. If for instance the texts are with a work colleague, about work related items, Then I would say no. Most businesses today require texting among colleagues for work. However if the texts in question are personal in nature and have questionable content then that has to have closer scrutiny. Jesus reminds us that adultery begins in the heart. Matthew 5:27-28 says, "Ye have heard that it was said by them of time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart." In this passage we see Jesus refreshing the commandment of God with its intent. It is a heart issue. Tread lightly here emotions can cause misunderstandings very quickly. Remember the act of infidelity itself is the symptom of the heart . Forgiveness of small transgressions can keep bigger ones from happening. Hope this is helpful.
